Permanent Jewelry, Explained

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a clasp-free bracelet, anklet or necklace that is measured to your body and welded closed. There is no clasp to lose and nothing to take off at night.

How the process works

You choose a chain, we measure your wrist or ankle for a comfortable custom fit, trim to length, and join the two ends with a quick, gentle spark. Most fittings take only a few minutes.

The welding process

A small jeweller's welder joins the links. A protective shield sits between the weld and your skin, so you will never feel anything.

Materials

Gold-filled, sterling silver and enamel-coated chains. Material details and metal content are listed on each chain in the catalog.

Care

Your jewelry is made to be lived in. Rinse after the beach or pool, dry gently, and avoid harsh chemicals and chlorine where you can.

Removal & re-welding

You can remove a piece at any time with small wire cutters at the jump ring. Keep the chain and we can re-weld it for you.

Safety

The weld is quick and contained. If you have a pacemaker or another implanted medical device, let us know in advance so we can discuss options.
